Is it really going to snow in 2 days?

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

What a gorgeous day. Shirt sleeves-bright and beautiful. But this is Syracuse- and we are expecting snow in 2 days. Robert has raced to the golf course. Last game.

We are happy to announce Yarn Cupboard will now be open on Mondays until Christmas- 10.30am to 5.30pm. And starting in November, we will be open 12noon to 4pm on Sundays through to Christmas. So- you should have every opportunity to do all your holiday shopping!

There are some beautiful new models in the shop for you to see- many in the new yarns for this Fall/Winter.
And we continue to offer classes and knit groups as the days become shorter and colder. We will be having a new spinning group for people with our Kromski wheels or who have bought our roving on the 3rd Wendesday of every month. Beth Coye will be here to help and encourage our new spinners as well as our “old spinners”.

Enjoy these cool nights knitting/crocheting with your project on your lap, keeping you warm. I am off to finish my Montana jacket for the Stitches East show. If you are going to Stitches, pop by and see me at my booth. I will be representing Tahki Stacy Charles. Cheers.

Holiday gifts you really want…

addi-click-needle-setI am sitting here in a pile of papers that I have set aside- Nancy will have a stroke when she sees the mess I’ve made. Instead, I am sitting here thinking of all the beautiful things that have arrived this fall that would make great Holiday gifts. The new Offhand designer knitting bags from Los Angeles, or the Kromski accessories like an arched lazy Kate or niddy noddy, (or maybe a new wheel?), great sock or mitten books or just some reference books, an Addi Turbo Click needle set, or needle bags from Della Q, maybe some roving or any of our beautiful yarns. If you have ideas what you would like, please leave them at Yarn Cupboard on our wish list, so it makes it easier for some wonderful person who is buying for you. Its always alittle harder for my family- but it looks like it might be a dvd again this year…
