Basic Sock 101
 
In this 3 part class you will learn basic cuff down sock construction. Techniques learned are  Cross-over Join, Kitchener stitch, and the anatomy of the sock. This comprehensive class is a must for those of you who want to learn how to make socks correctly.

Reservations are essential as classes fill quickly.

Crocheted Baby Rainbow Afghan
For those of you wanting to improve your beginner crochet skills, this beautiful afghan is for you. The afghan would be a wonderful addition to any Baby's room and it will be fun to do.

Jedi Knitters
OK-Shannon's  sweater class is open to all skill levels. This class will continue to enhance your skill set for we ask you to pick a pattern that will stretch your knitting abilities. Rowan, Blue Sky. Tahki, Shibui- you pick.The options are limitless and we would be happy to find a great piece for you to work on. This class goes continuously. Jump in at any time.

The Linen Stitch Scarf
Shannon will be teaching this beautiful woven looking garment without the loom. Using a series of slipped stitiches and knits you too can create this gorgeous scarf. There are so many beautiful colors in Shibui sock yarn to choose from that everyone's piece will be as unique as they are.

Carmel and Maggi Knits
Every other Saturday morning is our Maggi Knits class with Carmel. You can choose from any  number of Maggikits or pattern books. There are new wraps and beautiful sweaters. Gorgeous linens, donegal tweeds, beautiful wools.
These garments are  perfect for those who are intermediate or more advanced knitters who would like to learn new skills.  Why knit the ordinary when you can knit something extraordinary!

Entrelac Afghan for Hope for Heather
The Yarn Cupboard is proud to announce a wonderful opportunity to enhance your skills and make a difference at the same time! While learning the entrelac method of knitting, you will be making a square for an afghan to benefit Hope for Heather! All squares create will later be assembled into a beautiful afghan and then raffled off with all proceeds going to Hope for Heather foundation.  After learning the technique, kits will be available for more squares. Complete squares need to be submitted no later than  August 1st so there is time for assembly. We look forward to seeing you fro this wonderful event and thank you ahead of time for your generosity!

Come and join Andrea on Wednesday mornings to learn to knit or to start your next project.  Andrea will help you get started on your first felted hand bag or your first hat.You may want to start  a scarf, potholder or washcloth or want to extend yourself with a sweater or afghan, come Wednesdays and get those holiday projects started and finished!!!

Crocheted Heart on a String Mittens!!!



These are the mittens we all wore years ago that never lost their mate or their appeal. The class is perfect for beginners and Intermediate crocheters for those very important  last minute holiday gifts. These are also wonderful for charity crafting. The mittens are worked in the round so stitch markers are required. The pattern has sizes from infant to adult extra large, all using a J hook.

Beginner's Sweater Class
Miss Shannon will be teaching a beginner sweater class for those of you who have not progressed from scarves or for those of you who have never even held knitting needles!!  You will be making either a cardigan or pullover. Besides learning the basics of knitting and purling you will be learning decrease, increases and finishing for a project that looks hand knit, not home made.

Madeline Tosh Tea for Two and a Cardigan for You!

 Small Beaded Bag
This is your opportunity to make the most gorgeous small beaded bag. These bags can be made bigger-perfect for a wedding or a night on the town. This small bag is perfect for around your neck as decoration or to hold something special.
Second session is the embellishment class-come and learn how to decorate your project and how embellishing can work for garments and lace.

 Intro to Rigid Heddle Weaving
Learn to weave on  your own Komski Rigid Heddle loom. Before class your homework is to watch on Utube or New Voyager website: 4 videos "with Tim' on how to weave with the Kromski Rigid Heddle Loom. Please call to purchase loom as there is some assembly before class we need to do. Linda can assist you with yarns for your project. Linda, a master weaver, will be guiding you through the warping process and of course will help with the actually weaving. Learn from one of the best!
