27 helmet liners are on their way to Afghanistan. Thank you to Michael Chappell, my cousin’s son who is a Lieutenant with Delta Company in the Central New York’s National Guard. The helmet liners are going to the Illinois company that replaced them when the NY company returned last year. I wrote a note to explain where the helmet liners had come from and how we all send our best wishes for their safe return. The next liners I send, I would ask you send a short note to go with them. I was surprised how emotional I was packing them up. We can only hope our liners will help make a difference to the comfort of the soldiers that are wearing them, God speed.

Read about your helmet liners. Very interesting. When will you begin another group/batch to send to service troops? I would be interested in learning the pattern so I could maybe help make some to send to our service troops. Linda M. Parton
Hi Linda. Most are using helmet liners with ribbed neck band found on the internet. I will send out another lot when I have collected enough for the small box. You can always call the shop and I can direct you to the directions. Susan
