Who Doesn’t like a New Book?

I have been staring on the book carousel and keep going over and thumbing through all the new books. There are some wonderful new arrivals-
The Knitted Lace Designs of Herbert Niebling-not of course a new book-but a classic for those of you who love lace. The Lyra pattern is also available from Herbert Niebling. This is heirloom work. Just beautiful.
Lily Chin’s Power Cables is the ultimate guide to inventive cables. It is full of gorgeous patterns using a multitude of cables. Great stuff.
Lena Maikon’s Unexpected Crochet for the Home is full of unique ideas. Lampshades called luminous pods, wall hangings, rugs, gourd containers…I love it.
Kristin Omdahl’s Crochet so Fine is a beautiful crochet lace book. Lovely contemporary designs that will have knitters learning crochet. In this year of crochet, these designs are part of the wealth of gorgeous new patterns.
Gifted by Mags Kandis is a book full of gift ideas. This will certainly help your holiday gift giving. I love the tea cozy and felted tie fob as well as the felted egg cozies if anyone is interested!!
New England Knits from Interweave Press is full of classic sweaters, hats and shawls with a “modern Twist”. I love the whale watch hat-so does Beth Coye-maybe another class brewing. Shannen Adams made the Brattleboro Hat sitting on the desk. Come in and have a look.
The Stockings were Knit by Mickey Landau is a great stocking book for those of you who would like some new patterns. 2 very cute ones are the doggy one- For My Best Friend- Too cute with Dog paws and the Purr-fect Pastimes with a cute cuff design of a mouse and fishbone.
There are alot of other titles as well- Folk Mittens, Fold Socks, Vintage Socks, Fearless Knitting- Come in and take a look. All books are 10% off if you have either a Boarders or Barnes and Nobles card-
They will inspire you or inspire someone who would love a wonderful gift for the holidays.
