New bulky yarn ENYA offers an all-natural chainette blend of cotton and ramie in bright, Summery colors; ramie is a plant-based fiber with similar characteristics to linen. This might be the first you’re hearing of it, but it has been around for quite some time–it was used in Egypt’s mummification process, making it one of the oldest textile fibers in the world! Ramie is naturally anti-bacterial, has wonderful stain resistant qualities, and keeps its shape well after washing. It adds strength to its cotton counterpart in ENYA, and best of all it has a lustrous quality similar to silk, giving fabric a soft shine.
